3. Collection of Personal Data

Personal data is processed for the purpose of managing user information for the Reuse circular economy service in order to maintain, develop and provide user support for the platform.

Information stored in the register may be obtained from the customer through user registration, messages sent via website forms, email, telephone, social media services, contracts, customer meetings and other situations where the customer provides their information.

Contact information of representatives of companies and other organizations may also be collected from public sources such as websites, directory services and other companies.

We may process personal data for direct marketing purposes based on legitimate interest. The data subject has the right to object to direct marketing at any time.

Personal data is not regularly disclosed to other parties. Information may be published only to the extent agreed with the customer. Personal data may be shared with the company responsible for maintaining the Reuse platform to the extent necessary.

We do not sell, rent or otherwise disclose personal data to third parties. However, personal data may be disclosed if required by applicable law, regulation or a request from a judicial or administrative authority.

For example, our marketing service provider may transfer personal data outside the EU or EEA when providing services. In such cases, appropriate safeguards for personal data have been implemented, such as the service provider’s participation in the EU–U.S. Privacy Shield framework or the use of standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

Data subjects also have the right to request the deletion of their personal data from the register (“the right to be forgotten”). Data subjects also have other rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation, such as the right to restrict the processing of personal data in certain situations.

Requests must be submitted in writing to toimisto@amp-yhtiot.fi. The data controller may request verification of the requester’s identity if necessary. The data controller will respond within the time limits specified in the EU General Data Protection Regulation (generally within one month).

The data subject also has the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Finland, the competent authority is the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman.
